I developed an interest in photography at an early age taking black & white photos
with my Kodak Brownie and developing the film and prints in my makeshift
darkroom. My passion and interest led me to study at the former Rhode Island
School of Photography in Providence, Rhode Island. Over the years I gradually
moved from film to digital and from darkroom to computer. I received training in
digital techniques with noted New Hampshire photographer Jim Block. I eventually
was admitted into the League of New Hampshire Craftsmen as a state juried member.
Though I have not participated in competitions in recent years, some of my past
accomplishments are:
2004 Elden Murray Exhibit & Competition, Hanover NH - !st & 2nd
place color category.
2004 "Through The Lens" Exhibit & Competition, Springfield VT -
4 Honorable Mentions
2005 Elden Murray Exhibit & Competition - Emil Rube Award for
Excellance in Photography and a Honorable Mention in the B&W category
Sept-Nov 2005 "An Exhibit of Untraditional Photography by Ray Genereux"
Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, Lebanon NH
